CORE AND CAPACITY BUILDING

We have a responsibility to ensure your safety and wellbeing.

Core Support help’s you with everyday activities, your current disability-related needs and to work towards your goals and objectives in your National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) plan.

This service includes:

  • Therapy support to assist with techniques given to you by your quailified therapists.

  • Assist you with personal care, healthcare and hygiene. This could be in areas such as dressing, bathing, toileting, and eating.

  • Assist you to develop community skills. This could include tasks like budgeting, shopping and cooking.

  • Support activities of mobility and transferring, which promote independence.

  • Support you with necessary household duties such as laundry activities.

  • Support you to keep yourself and your environments safe, clean and healthy.

  • Assistance with attending medical appointments.

  • Supporting social, vocational and community activities

  • Developing relationships in the wider community.

  • Secretarial support and/or assisting with administrative functions.

  • One on one at your home or Kananook reserve for outdoor sessions.

  • Weekly, fortnightly, or monthly sessions available.

  • Programs run between 6 to 12 weeks with the availably to continue on after completion. 

  • Sessions can be booked in 1 to 2 hour blocks.

RECOVERY COACHING

NDIS funded Recovery Coach that have Mental Health knowledge.

As a Recovery Coach with lived experience we are able to use this experience to inform clients of services that will best suit them in their recovery.

This service includes:

  • Develop a recovery-enabling relationship.

  • Increase awareness of choice and control.

  • Identify individual goals and develop strategies to achieve them.

  • Provide ongoing support and engagement (even in times of increased needs due to variation in individual mental illness).

  • Build individual capacity, increase recovery skills, resilience and decision making.

  • Spending time with you, and the people important to you, to get to know you and understand your needs.

  • Help you to find out about different services and supports, and how these can help you.

  • Help you get support from Mental Health Services.

  • Help you better understand the NDIS and support you with the NDIS.

  • In person at your home or out in the community.

  • Weekly, fortnightly, or monthly sessions available.

  • Programs run between 6 to 12 weeks with the availably to continue on after completion. 

  • Sessions can be booked in 1 to 3 hour blocks.
